I’m requiring my Beginning Photography students at Shenandoah University to recreate this image. I had to create it so they had a reference. I finished it and thought “well now that’s a blog photo.” It’s not a difficult technique to pull off, but it’s slightly different than what we did in class – same technique just applied in a very creative manner. Can’t wait to see the results.
“A graduation ceremony is an event where the commencement speaker tells thousands of students dressed in identical caps and gowns that ‘individuality’ is the key to success.”
– Robert Orben
I’m certainly in a position where the saying “use it or lose it” plays a huge factor. This blog, if anything, is helping me stay sharp and practice my craft. Every once in a while I get the urge to do something a little “wonky” with my images – just for fun. Enjoy.
I think I’m going to start my collection of textures for use in Photoshop – You can never have too many cool textures. The possibilities are endless and there’s a never-ending supply of them everywhere. Collected this one on my morning walk with Waldo this morning. Just somebody’s front wall along Tennyson Avenue in Winchester.
