So my app told me there was a 47% chance of a decent sunset. If this is 47% I can’t imagine what 100% looks like.
It’s that time of year and I got to be a part of Shenandoah Univeristy’s version of it. Always a pleasure.
It’s certainly not for everybody and I’ve seen it done with great success, but the “painterly” style is definitely different.
This may make it onto NBC news somewhere – hopefully in some sort of commencement round up from the area/region/nation. Fingers crossed. What a great day to fly.
My course just missed an entire week’s worth of class time. Gonna have to play catch up.
I took the new GoPro out tonight to determine if it’s worthy enough to be considered a decent camera in my photography tool box. I’ve made my decision. What do you think?
Beacon of Light
Yep, that’s what they’re calling it.
Anybody have an issue saying the word “foliage?” I worked with someone once who did. Anybody have a guess as to who it was? I wonder if she’s reading now. Anyway, the fo·li·age [ˈfōl(ē)ij] is about to peak here in Winchester. Hope the weather holds for some great images.
Rise and Shine
This is how I started my day – actually about an hour and a half prior to this. Long day for me.
Who would’ve thought that, amongst all the high-tech engineering and impressive architecture, the rockers on the “front porch” would be good old Cracker Barrel brand.
When you can get above all the mess on the ground level, that golden hour is more like a golden hour and 15 minutes. My class ended at 6:30, but I was determined to get the sunset today because I just had a feeling that it was going to be a good one. I think I made a good call.
Look, Up In The Sky…
So today I had somebody actually follow the camera to where it landed just to find out more about it. I was just flying over Shenandoah University and demonstrating it for a couple of friends and a guy drives into the lot, runs over and said that he followed it from the main campus because he wanted to know more about it. I gave him my card. Cool.
I think I should try my hand at a “series.” What do you think?
