So my app told me there was a 47% chance of a decent sunset. If this is 47% I can’t imagine what 100% looks like.
Simply felt like a scene out of the movies. I’m in a big, overgrown field (alone), photographing the landscape and out of nowehere the massive lightning storm erupts before me. And just like in the movies, I’m telling myself “I gotta shoot this. Just 5 more minutes.” Have I not watched enought TV and movies to know better!!!
It’s that time of year and I got to be a part of Shenandoah Univeristy’s version of it. Always a pleasure.
Happy January 109th!
I don’t get to shoot for myself much anymore so I have to grab any opportunity to get creative. I’ve always wanted to shoot “Old Jake” so after a recent flight for a client, I did just that. The original “Old Jake” weathervane is on display at The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, VA.
There’s lots of competition these days and I encourage any and all newcomers, but keep this in mind → it doesn’t take a high-end camera, it doesn’t matter if you’ve got the latest “this” or spared no expense on “that” – it takes “the eye.” Do you have the creative “eye?” Equipment only matters up to a certain point.
