I’ve never lived in a log cabin, but I’ve wanted to. It’s definitely intriguing. I’ve worked in one – kind of. The lifestyle is definitely inviting and the location is usually extremely epic and sometimes cinematic. There’s just one thing that always gets in the way. Winter.

My wife wants to retire in a location with “fewer seasons” than where we are now. Currently we have 4 fairly equal seasons. I’ve started making the comment that if we move north, we’d have at least 2 fewer seasons. Who am I kidding? Not too deep down I know I don’t want that.

So I’ll just resign myself to fantasizing about that lifestyle and look back on over a decade of real estate photography in some pretty epic locations.

Gone?

For as much snow as we got a couple weeks ago, it’s pretty crazy how little I’m seeing when I look out my window.  Well, even though there’s little to no evidence left, I still have photographic proof that it happened.

Granted, this is a sporty-looking 4-door coupe, but that’s still an impressive amount of snow!

Delay

Due to extreme temperatures and weather conditions, Spring will be operating on a 2-month delay.

My course just missed an entire week’s worth of class time.  Gonna have to play catch up.

I got the call that the city schools were called off so I got excited that it might make for some great images.  Schools were cancelled because of this!?
